Doha: Chairman of Sudan's Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lt. Gen. Abdel Fattah Al Burhan, has affirmed full solidarity with the State of Qatar over the blatant Israeli attack, labelling it as a flagrant violation of sovereignty, international law and the UN charters.
In his speech at the emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha on Monday, Al Burhan noted that it undermines sincere efforts aimed at reaching a settlement that ends the humanitarian tragedy in Gaza and weakens the chances of success of any efforts to achieve calm.
He stressed that the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace in the Middle East is through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, appreciating the honorable positions taken by the State of Qatar in support of just causes, foremost among them the Palestinian cause, and its humanitarian and political support for the Palestinian people.
