Doha: Education City Golf Club, the newest golf club in Qatar held multiple activities on National Sport Day for new aspiring golfers and experienced golfers alike.
The new innovative Range featuring TrackMan Technology & PowerTee had 11,000 golf balls hit during the day.
To put that in perspective, the total average is 18 balls hit every minute! All of the data is verified through the TrackMan Range Technology fully integrated into the driving range which helps the golfer track their ball distance and direction on the range.
Throughout National Sport Day, not only was the range eventful, but golf lessons for new aspiring golfers were held on hourly intervals with families and friends visiting the newly opened golf course to give golf a go. The ongoing celebrations were supported by JoueClub and FNAC with activities for children and families throughout the day.
“Michael Braidwood, General Manager of Education City Golf Club stated, “We have only recently opened up the golf course but so far the interest has been outstanding. National Sport Day was a great success which saw families and friends soak up the atmosphere and try their hand at golf. Our continued approach is to expose golf to as many people as possible in order to maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle. Golf is a sport for life, that can be played at any age and it was particularly special to see young children with their parents trying golf on National Sport Day.”
