Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announces the launch of the Social Responsibility Project for Private Schools and Kindergartens, which provides an educational contribution to the community totaling 2,939 educational seats offered by private schools and kindergartens.

This project aims to enhance equality in educational opportunities, support deserving families, and enable students at various levels to enroll in high-quality and specialized education.

The project includes a variety of seats: free seats, discounted seats, free seats designated for students with disabilities, and seats valued at the amount of educational vouchers for Qatari students, in addition to entirely free evening education periods offered by some participating schools.

The available curricula vary, including British, Indian, American, and National curricula, with emphasis that all granted seats are sustainable and continue with the student until graduation.

Regarding the eligibility criteria, the Ministry has set clear standards to ensure that support reaches those who deserve it. For the free seats, the family income must not exceed QR10,000.

For the discounted seats, the income must not exceed QR15,000. As for the seats designated for Qataris at the value of the educational voucher, the actual family income must not exceed QR25,000. Applications will open electronically on January 20, 2026, via the Ministry’s website.

A large number of private schools and kindergartens are participating in the project for the academic year 2025–2026 and beyond. In kindergartens, Beit Al Jidda Kindergarten offered 20 free seats (10 of which are for students with disabilities), Al Fairouz Private Kindergarten offered two free seats, and Al Zahra Al Sagheera Kindergarten offered five free seats.

At the school level, many schools are participating, such as Cardiff, Solid Rock, Modern International British School, Cambridge Schools, Doha Modern Indian School, Cambridge Private and Global, Monarch Indian School, Beverly Hills, Royal International, Shakespeare International, Al Koun Global, and DPS Modern Indian School, by providing hundreds of seats, including free, discounted, and evening seats, in addition to 675 seats for Qataris at the value of the educational vouchers. The initiative also includes 300 seats dedicated to Syrian community schools.

In this context, Omar Al-Naama, Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs, affirmed that the project represents a "qualitative leap in integrating private education into the social support system in the State of Qatar," explaining that the diversity of seats, their sustainability, and clear eligibility criteria enhance fairness in the distribution of support and ensure that deserving groups benefit.

Dr. Rania Mohamed, Director of Private Schools and Kindergartens Department and Acting Director of Private School Licensing Department, also explained that the project constitutes a major shift in enhancing high-quality educational opportunities for students from different economic and social backgrounds, enabling them to enroll in high-quality schools that serve their educational aspirations.

The Ministry urges eligible families to prepare for the electronic application on the specified date to benefit from these sustainable educational opportunities, which are part of the State's efforts to enhance educational equity and achieve the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
