QSL teams face off in friendlies ahead of Round 16 action

Doha:  Umm Salal and Al Ahli are preparing to face off in a friendly encounter today as part of their preparations for the 16th round of the QNB Stars League (QSL).

Umm Salal had recently lost to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu, who were camping in Doha.

Both Umm Salal and Al Ahli utilised the long break in the QSL by working on their areas of improvement.

Umm Salal will play Al Gharafa in Week 16 of the QSL on February 14, while Al Ahli will face Al Kharaitiyat the next day.

Umm Salal are currently placed eighth in the QSL standings with 17 points, while Al Ahli are fifth with 26 points.

Tomorrow, Al Sailiya will take on Al Khor in another friendly match.

Al Sailiya coach Sami Trabelsi and his Al Khor counterpart Bernard Casoni are set to make the most of the friendly before their matched in the next round of QSL.

Al Sailiya will be away at Al Duhail on February 16, while Al Khor will travel to Al Sadd the same day.

Al Sailiya are third in the standings with 28 points, whereas Al Khor are 11th with nine points.
