Al Arabi players and officials celebrate after receiving the Qatar Cup trophy following their 77-72 win over Al Gharafa in the final at Al Gharafa Sports Club, yesterday.
Nicholas West scored 23 points for the winning side while making 17 rebounds and six assists as Al Arabi dethroned Al Gharafa to clinch the title.
Al Arabi booked a place in final after beating Al Ahli 81-77 in the semi-final. On their way to the last four stage, they beat Al Shamal (88-79) and Qatar SC (89-64). A total of nine teams took part in the tournament organised by the Qatar Basketball Association.
