Hundreds of students from nine schools participated in the pencil colouring competition organised by Maithri Vaikom, a socio cultural organisation from Kerala. The competition took place at Bhavan’s Public School on Friday. ‘The overwhelming response that we received from the students and the general public is a great inspiration for us,” said Venugopal Pillai, patron of Maithri Vaikom.
“We are highly indebted to the schools and the coordinators of various schools that send in large number of students to the event. We will continue to promote the innate skills and talents of the budding youngsters through similar events,” added Rajesh Nair, president of the organisation. Secretary Shaju and coordinators Saisiharan and Vijayan supervised the event.
