The ninth edition of the Sports Tournament for GCC Universities and Higher Education Institutes, organised by the Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), kicked off at Aspire Zone yesterday.
The tournament will continue until February 10.

The opening ceremony yesterday witnessed a large participation of representatives of delegations, distinguished guests and visitors, including the Minister of Sports and Youth H E Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali. A total of 471 students representing 15 universities and higher education institutions in the GCC countries are taking part in the Games.
