Rajatraj Ramesan of New Vision Badminton Sport poses for a photograph after winning the Prime Sports under-14 title at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena.
The DPS-MIS eighth grade student defeated Arjun Shine in three sets 21-18, 11-21 and 21-19 in the final to take sweet revenge of his loss to the same player in the quarter-final stage of the under-16 category.
He also went on to complete a double in the tournament when he won the Under-16 doubles championship along with his partner Aman Ali. The sub junior and junior badminton championship was held in different age groups from under-10 to under-18.
Rajatraj is trained at New Vision Badminton Sport by former Qatar National Coach, Manoj Sahibjan assisted by coach Ashif Ameerjan, Anurag Anirudhan, Bichu Sureshkumar, Ashwin P C and Nebu Joseph.
