Longines Hathab Tour: Kamil, Ali clinch victories in Round 5

Kamil Sabitov guided Quintendro towards  victory in Medium Tour while Ali Mohammed Al Qadi clinched the Small Tour on Charming Boy on the opening day of the fifth round of Longines Hathab Equestrian Tour, CSN Al Shaqab, yesterday.

Kamil, a young rider from Kyrgyzstan, completed the round in 47.90 secs on his 14-year old gelding to secure the top prize of the day, worth QR5,000.

Numero Uno-T with Qatari Ghanim Nasser Al Qadi in the saddle, completed the same routine in 48.96 secs to finish second as he got richer by QR4,000. Khalid Sanad Al Nuaimi and his mare Jazz De Semilly K Z (Dupli) completed the task in 49.86 secs and booked the remaining spot on the podium.

Earlier, in the Small Tour which saw 45 entries in contest, Ali had a flawless ride with Charming Boy as they completed the routine in 28.72 secs to win QR2,500. Hugo Z, with Hamad Nasser Al Qadi in the saddle, spent 28.97 secs to complete the round as they went on to win the second place along with a prize cheque worth QR2,000.

Fito R, ridden by Saad Ahmed Al Saad, booked the third place following a ride that lasted 29.26 secs. He won QR1,500.

The fifth round of the Championship concludes today.

The annual series is organised and hosted jointly by Qatar Equestrian Federation (QEF) and Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation. Longines, ExxonMobil, and Salam International are the main partners of the series.
