Doha: Inspectors of Air Cargo and Private Airports Customs Department thwarted an attempt to smuggle cannabis and banned Lyrica Pills into the country.
These were found during the inspection of personal baggage of a person from an Asian country.
The authorities found cannabis weighing 477 grams and 3516 pills of the banned Lyrica pills.
Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
