Qatar's national fencing team claimed their third bronze to take their total tally to seven medals in the team competitions on the final day of the West Asian U-20 Fencing Championship in Jordan yesterday.
Jaber Al Fadaaq, Meshaal Al Qahtani, Mohamed Al Oulan and Mohamed Al Hazaa secured bronze in the epee discipline to bring Qatar’s medal tally to seven (two gold, two silver and three bronze).
Eleven Qatari fencers participated in the championship under the leadership of Assistant Secretary of Qatar Fencing Federation Fahad Al Mulla who chaired the mission.
The championship saw the participation of 150 male and female fencers representing 11 countries, namely Qatar, Palestine, Oman, Kuwait, Syria, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Iraq, Lebanon and hosts Jordan.
