Doha, Qatar: The Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center organised an intensive course for ten students from the Daad Center in the Russian Federation.

The Daad Center is dedicated to promoting and teaching the Arabic language, and the students’ visit to the center came as part of efforts to enhance their language abilities and familiarise them with Islamic culture.

Director of the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center, Dr. Saleh bin Ali Al-Marri met with the students and welcomed them. During the meeting, the students were introduced to the nature of the center’s cultural services offered to the public, as well as the structure of the Arabic language curriculum for non-native speakers. The course focused on strengthening the students’ conversation and communication skills, in addition to organising recreational and educational tours to various landmarks across the country.

The students visited some of Qatar’s most prominent sites, including the National Museum of Qatar and the Museum of Islamic Art, and learned about the Qatari majlis culture and traditional Qatari hospitality customs.

The programme concluded with a closing ceremony honouring the students, during which certificates of appreciation were presented. The students expressed their happiness with the programme, noting that it enabled them to experience Arab culture directly, in a real and interactive environment, which helped them acquire new skills.
