Islamabad: Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his Armenian counterpart, Ararat Mirzoyan, held a telephone conversation on Friday in which they agreed to explore the possibility of establishing diplomatic relations between their countries.
This development follows the recent peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan aimed at ending decades of conflict. Pakistan welcomed the deal, calling it a significant step toward regional stability and peace.
Until now, Pakistan has not established diplomatic relations with Armenia due to its longstanding support for Azerbaijan in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
