London: The Qatari embassy took part in the annual Eid Al Fitr festival organised by the Mayor of London in Traflagar Square.
Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada attended the festival, along with 30,000 visitors.
Qatari Charges d’Affaires Hamad Mohammed Hussein Ali Almuftah said relations between Qatar and the UK exceed economic partnership as both have a joint interest in enhancing global peace and stability. Roger Evans, Deputy Mayor of London, expressed delight over the embassy’s support and encouraged tourists to visit the festival to learn more about cultures of the Islamic world. Qatar’s tent exhibited Arab calligraphy, pearl hunting, and traditional Qatari clothings, among others. QNA
