Doha: The Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada has left for Moscow as the head of Qatar’s delegation to the Second Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries’ Forum (GECF).
The summit is expected to discuss cooperation between member countries and dialogue with consumer countries as a continuation to what has been agreed to in the 2011 Doha summit. The summit is also expected to endorse a final communiqué reaffirming the principles agreed to in Doha which include highlighting natural gas as a source of clean energy.
Dr Al Sada will also take part in the GECF extraordinary Ministerial Meeting which will be held ahead of the Summit to discuss and approve its working agenda and final statement.
The Minister is accompanied by an official delegation of senior Qatar Petroleum executives.
