There is talk about Qatar Science and Technology Park launching a project to convert shipping containers into homes, with bedrooms and a kitchen, to help those with limited means who are forced to stay in shared rooms.

A number of visitors to the office of the General Directorate of Borders, Passports and Expatriate Affairs have complained of traffic jams around the building due to inadequate parking space.

There is talk on social networking sites about an essay by a Qatari writer published in a local newspaper about financial and administrative irregularities in some government and non-government institutions.

It has been suggested that big companies open training centres for unemployed Qatari youth in order to utilise their energy and ideas.

Some parents have urged the Supreme Education Council to intervene after a hike in tuition fees of up to 40 percent in schools, which is too steep for families who have more than one child in school. 

Some people have suggested closer monitoring of barber shops, some of which do not follow health and hygiene rules.

There are continuing demands for strict monitoring of shops selling schools supplies, many of which are exploiting customers by increasing prices, especially of school bags.
