Doha: Loyola International School celebrated the 72nd Republic day of India with enthusiasm. A special student-led assembly which comprised a unique blend of physical and virtual activities was conducted.
The Indian tricolor flag was hoisted in its state-of-the-art campus in the presence of Schools’ Managing Director R Anup Chakravarthy, Operational Director Sarat Koduru, Principal PKV Prasad, Vice Principal Mou Bera, teachers and students.
PN Babu Rajan, President of Indian Cultural Centre, Qatar, was the Chief Guest of the special assembly. The festivities began with the hoisting of the National flag of India and was followed by the National Anthem which was sung passionately by the school choir.
The significance of the Republic Day was highlighted through speeches, role play, a mime act along with dance performances by students and teachers. The assembly featured a cultural extravaganza to portray the rich culture and heritage of India.
A special assembly video created to celebrate this joyous occasion was beamed to all the parents on various social media platforms. The entire celebration was video recorded in the school premises, strictly adhering to all the safety measures and precautions. The Chief Guest and the School authorities had lauded the efforts of the teachers and the students for their teamwork and wonderful presentations.
