Brussels: The State of Qatar took part in the joint meeting of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) and Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI) countries, which was held at the NATO headquarters in Brussels.
The State of Qatar was represented at the meeting by Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) H E Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki.
The meeting discussed ways to address the challenges in the field of energy security and sea lanes.
In a speech during the meeting, Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki underlined the importance of cooperation and partnership between the countries of the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative and the NATO, noting that both sides face common challenges and share the same aspirations for peace and stability across the globe.
He called for concerted efforts and strengthening joint work between the two sides.
