Al Khater commends QC’s efforts in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Sarajevo: Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, commended the Qatar Charity (QC)’s unwavering efforts in Bosnia and Herzegovina in multiple fields.

During her recent visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, she hailed the QC-run female student housing project ‘Dohat Al-Khair’. The visit was part of the humanitarian and development cooperation between the State of Qatar and Bosnia and Herzegovina, in confirmation of the State of Qatar’s keenness to reinforce global partnerships in the areas of education and social development, in support of initiatives that boost cooperation and cultural exchange among nations.

The Minister of State for International Cooperation visited QC’s office in Sarajevo in the presence of Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H E Meshal bin Ali Al Attiyah, alongside his accompanying delegation, where she was briefed on projects and activities implemented by QC, along with its efforts in supporting the Bosnian people, and promoting sustainable development in the country.

Upon arrival, the Qatari delegation was welcomed by General Supervisor of QC’s office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hassan Al Nuaimi, and Director of the office Muhammad Washan, who delivered a presentation highlighting QCs history in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as its projects and sectors in which it operates.

Al Khater honoured the female students residing in the QC-run dormitory in Bosnia ‘Dohat Al-Khair’, marking the graduation of the fifth cohort of female students for 2023-2024. The project is considered a crucial initiative that offers an environment conducive for students to complete their studies and build a bright future for them.
