London: British Prime Minister Theresa May announced that the country's threat level has been raised from "severe" to "critical" following the bombing that took place in Manchester and left 22 dead and 59 injured.
"It is a possibility we cannot ignore, that there is a wider group of individuals linked to this attack," the British Prime Minister said in a statement following a meeting of the Government's Emergency Response Committee.
May added that the decision to raise the threat level in UK indicates the possibility of an imminent attack in the country.
British police said that the suspect in the suicide attack at Ariana Grande concert has been named as Salman Abedi, 22-year-old, who was born in Manchester.
