Doha, Qatar: The final match of the Second Football Championship of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs for departmental employees will take place today evening, February 8 2026.
The highly anticipated final will bring together the team of the Financial and Administrative Affairs Department and the team of the Zakat Affairs Department at the ministry’s pitches in the Abu Hamour area.
The semi-final matches, held on Thursday evening, 5 February, featured strong and exciting performances. The Financial and Administrative Affairs Department secured its place in the final after defeating the Information Systems Department in a penalty shootout, winning 3–1 following a 1–1 draw in regular time.
In the second semi-final, the Zakat Affairs Department advanced to the final after a 4–2 victory over the Sheikh Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Centre team in a match marked by high technical standards and close competition.
