Doha: The Qatar Scientific Club (QSC) has launched the second phase of the "Young Inventors" programme, an initiative forming part of the national project unveiled by the Ministry of Sports and Youth during the Web Summit Qatar 2026 in Doha.
The programme aims to empower and develop young talents aged 15 to 30 with a strong passion for science, technology, and innovation. Participation in this stage required the completion of Phase 1, which concluded on August 4 and focused on the fundamentals of "Design Thinking".
Spanning three days, the second phase centres on completing the requirements of "Engineering Design." It assists participants in furthering their ideas and projects into more mature models and practical outputs. Organisers hope to guide youth from high-level concepts into finer technical details, enabling their ideas to take tangible shape as real-world innovations through step-by-step design and development.
The third and final stage, scheduled to begin at the end of this month, will focus on project implementation. The programme will conclude with a final presentation of the winning projects before a specialized judging panel.
The initial phase of the "Young Inventors" programme, conducted during the QSC summer camp, welcomed 34 male and female participants. It included orientation sessions, workshops on creative thinking, project timeline planning, feasibility study modeling, and expert consultation sessions to refine and enhance the participants' innovative concepts.
