Doha: DPS-MIS, Doha Kindergarten team took the privilege to celebrate Mother’s Day recently.
Four days- long celebrations were took place to mark the day. On the first day, students were encouraged to make a card for their mothers. On the second day, Nursery students were told to cook some dessert, and preparatory students were told to bake a cake for their mothers with the help of their father and surprise them.
The third day was dedicated to the health awareness workshop, and on the fourth day, a special assembly on Mother’s Day was held.
As mother is the last one to think about themselves, there was a virtual awareness workshop for the mothers conducted by Dr. Rati Barman (Obstetrics and Gynecology) on May 8. Dr. Rati Barman highlighted the most commonly faced problems by the women- Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) and Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS).
The celebration continued on May 9, with a special virtual assembly which started off with kindergarten Headmistress Najla Mohd Bukhari’s opening note where she encouraged the mothers to give ‘Me time.'
It was followed by kid’s speeches, prayer, AV presentation, poem, and a very fruitful section of Yoga.
The Yoga Session was conducted by Nisha Agarwal, a certified yoga trainer. The assembly was attended by Principal Asna Nafees and Vice Principal Shifa Shaikh.
The students presented the cards to their mothers and made the day special.
Mothers were overwhelmed by the gesture made by the kindergarten team and thanked the whole team virtually by posting their messages in the chat box.
