Mannai Corp Q1 profit rises to QR86.6m

DOHA: Mannai Corporation yesterday announced its first quarter financials for January to March, 2013. The company’s net profit was up 15 percent to QR86.6m compared to QR75.3m for the corresponding period last year.

Revenues grew 121 percent to reach QR1.3bn as against QR616m in 2012. The earnings per share (EPS) for Q1 rose to QR1.90 compared to QR1.65 for the same period of 2012.

The statement said international acquisitions contributed 52 percent to the net profit of the Corporation. Alekh Grewal, Group CEO and Director said: “The strategy to diversify the Group’s earnings outside Qatar has been instrumental in achieving these results. We remain optimistic that a number of new projects will be announced imminently for the infrastructure development in Qatar and as we are well positioned, we hope to secure our fair share of these projects.” The Peninsula
