Doha: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah affirmed that the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 represents the harvest of more than 10 years of sound planning, effort and work.
In an exclusive statement to QNA, he said Qatar has worked during the past years to organise a unique edition of the World Cup, and today it reaps the efforts of more than 10 years of hard work, planning and facing challenges.
He added that the Qatari citizen, with his full faith in God and his full confidence in his government, was able to see the results of the great efforts and contributions made during the past years.
He also expressed his happiness and pride that the World Cup coincided with the celebration of the National Day of Qatar, adding that Qatar was able to combine two important events — its National Day (December 18) and the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
He said this has been achieved through diligent work and proper planning.
The Deputy PM thanked everyone who contributed to this global event. To conclude his statement, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs welcomed everyone in Qatar to enjoy the World Cup and live a new and unique experience in this tournament.
