Doha: Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanem yesterday met with a number of Haj pilgrims from the Qatar who performed Haj last year.
The meeting aimed to take their opinions and suggestions regarding the services provided by the Ministry represented by Department of Haj and Umrah Affairs, and the facilities provided to them since the opening of registration for Haj via the website.
The department receives calls of the pilgrims of Qatar and their inquiries and immediate assistance to them via the Haj hotline (132).
They also reviewed the services provided by the Qatari Haj mission to the country’s pilgrims during their presence in the Holy Land during the Haj season and until their safe return to the homeland after performing Haj. The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs also listened to the aspirations of the pilgrims of Qatar during the current season in order to provide the best services to the country’s pilgrims.
Al Ghanem stressed that the wise leadership attaches great importance to the Haj, providing the best services and facilitating the performance of the ritual for the country’s pilgrims.
He explained that the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs is exerting all efforts and harnessing all capabilities and means of support for the pilgrims of Qatar, in coordination with the relevant authorities so that they perform all the rituals in the best of conditions.
The Minister noted that continuous coordination is being made with the relevant authorities to facilitate procedures and assist all applicants for Haj with an emphasis on the Ministry’s keenness on the readiness and safety of residences for Qatar’s pilgrims, according to the highest standards, to provide the best services to the country’s pilgrims.
