New York: Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations H E Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, participated in a meeting of Their Excellencies the Permanent Representatives of the Expanded Troika of the Arab Group with Secretary-General of the United Nations H E António Guterres, to discuss illegal Israeli decisions and measures aimed at imposing Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank.
Her Excellency the Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations stressed the need for the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, affirming that the State of Qatar will continue coordinating with international partners to support efforts in this regard.
Their Excellencies the Permanent Representatives of the Expanded Troika of the Arab Group expressed the Group’s condemnation and strong opposition to any form of annexation in the West Bank, emphasizing that such measures constitute a flagrant violation of international law and hinder international efforts aimed at safeguarding the inalienable rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to self-determination, ending the occupation, and establishing their independent and sovereign state along the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
