Doha: Qatar Exchange index yesterday added 23.17 points or 0.23 percent to advance to 9,909.85 points from 9,886.68 on Thursday.
The volume of the shares traded fell to 5,798,919 from 6,720,116 on Thursday and the value of shares decreased to QR220,511,731.94 from QR262,299,139.86 Thursday.
Among the top gainers were Industries Qatar which was up 0.31 percent to QR159.60, Masraf Al Rayan which gained 1.18 percent to QR30.10, Doha Insurance added 1.57 percent to QR25.90 and Gulf warehousing Company which rose by 0.95 percent to QR42.40.
The banking and financial sector index dropped 0.07 points while consumer goods and services sector index was down 0.30 points. The industrial sector gained 0.12 points while insurance sector fell 0.87 points.
