Doha: Birla Public School organised a virtual orientation for the parents of the students of Kindergarten section on April 10, 2021.
Principal A P Sharma; Vice Principals Scholastic Edna Fenandez; Co-Scholastic Rajesh Pillai; KG Headmistress Josephine Fernades; KG Academic Supervisors Marziya Fazal; Sheeba Menon and student counselor Michelle Motha were on the Webinar Panel.
Principal shared some wonderful parenting tips with the parents asking them to imbibe in their kids, healthy eating habits and encourage the kids to consume adequate water. Spending quality time with the children is one very important aspect that helps a child to manage his emotions well. Vice Principal Scholastics emphasised the role of teachers and parents to help the students as they gear up for the first learning experience.
KG Headmistress made the parents aware of the curriculum that would be followed during the academic year. She gave a gist of the thematic approach which spells that all subjects are integrated with the theme selected.
Michelle the school counselor shared how to deal with a child’s difficult moments and how best to manage their social and emotional skills. By approaching a counselor can help the child to overcome his difficulties at times.
A child’s root problem can be rectified in case of any learning disabilities. The school campus virtual tour was shown as the parents and kids have not been able to see the school.
