DOHA: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary closure of the intersection of Rawdat Rashed Road with Salwa Road (Exit 29) in coordination with the Traffic Police Department. The closure is for the implementation of Phase 4 of Rawdat Rashed Road Development Project. From tomorrow, part of the exit from Rawdat Rashed Road to Salwa Road will be closed for two months. During this period, a parallel road can be used.
In addition, entrance from Salwa Road to Roundabout (2) will be closed to heavy vehicles and will remain open for light vehicles, starting from tomorrow for a period of two months. Heavy vehicles can drive towards Roundabout (1) and then take a U-turn to the main road. The road from Roundabout (2) towards Roundabout (3) south-bound will also be closed, as shown in the attached map. Drivers coming from Bu Samra will have to drive towards Exit 24, then go back to Salwa Road and enter Rawdat Rashed Road.
Ashghal will install road signs to advise motorists of the closure. The authority requested all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
