ICBF organized condolences meeting for the Ras Laffan accident victims

Doha: Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) organized a condolence meeting in honor of the Ras Laffan accident victims and their families at Kanjani Hall in Integrated Indian Community Center at Al Thumama .

Indian ambassador to Qatar, HE Vipul, First Secretary and ICBF co ordinating officer Eish Singhal attended the meeting along with community leaders and company officials. HE the ambassador, ICBF President Shanavas Bava, ICC president A P Manikandan, ISC president E P Abdul Rahman, IBPC Vice President Abdul Sathar, Past president of ICBF Neelangshu Day, ICBF Program Committee Chairman K V Boban, TRAGS General Manager Ivan Morgan, DOPET official Vaibhav gave their condolence messages.


General Secretary Deepak Shetty welcomed the attendees and secretary Jafar Thayyil proposed vote of thanks.

MC members, Mini Siby, Mani Bharathi, Irfan Ansari, Amar Singh, Shankar Goud, Khaja Nizamudeen & Ms. Neelambari S gave leadership to the program. Advisory Board Chairman K S Prasad, AC member Satheesh V, ICC General Secretary Abraham Joseph, Vice President Santanu Desh pandey, Apex Body MC members Vengappa Bagavathalu, and Many Senior community leaders and  representatives from ICBF associated organizations attended the function.

The Embassy of India in Qatar and the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) have been working closely to facilitate the repatriation of the mortal remains of the 12 Indian nationals who tragically lost their lives in the unfortunate incident in Ras Laffan.

Immediately following the incident, the Embassy of India and ICBF mobilized their teams and established close coordination with the relevant Qatari authorities, healthcare institutions, and the company management. Working round the clock, they facilitated the completion of all necessary legal formalities, documentation, and clearances to ensure the timely repatriation of the mortal remains. Every effort was made to expedite the process and provide the affected families with the support and assistance required during this period of immense grief.

During this difficult period, the company management demonstrated a highly supportive and compassionate approach, extending full cooperation in facilitating the completion of all official procedures and documentation required for the repatriation process.

ICBF expresses its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and sincerely appreciates the prompt support and assistance extended by Qatar’s Ministry of Interior, Hamad Hospital authorities, the Embassy of India, and the company management in handling this tragic situation with urgency, compassion, and care.

The Embassy of India and ICBF remain committed to extending all possible assistance to the affected families and ensuring that the repatriation process is carried out with the utmost dignity and respect for the departed souls.
