Officials at the event to mark World Food Day.
DOHA: Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, marked yesterday the World Food Day under the slogan “the climate changes.. food and agriculture also”, in the presence of a number of ministry officials.
Dr Sheikh Faleh bin Nasser Al Thani, Assistant Undersecretary for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources at the Ministry said in his speech that “World Food Day is celebrated around the world on October 16 to mark the founding date of the FAO, and the day is celebrated in relation to food security”.
If we want to solve the problems of climate change, we have to bring change in our dealing with agriculture, he added.
