A new partnership has been formed between Park House English School and the British Council to offer English support to children in international schools.  The British Council will offer a set of courses in the afternoons on the premises of Park House English School so that children in the age range 5 - 16 can improve their academic skills and their performance in exams.

Niall Brennan, Director of Park House School and son of the founder, Heather Brennan, said: “We are very pleased to see this range of courses open.  They offer excellent support in English language, especially to those children who are studying in international schools but whose mother tongue is not English. This is an exciting partnership and one which we are sure will bring solid benefits to the community”.

As well as pupils of Park House school, some places are open to members of the public, and take place in the early afternoons from 1.30 to 2.30 and 2.30 to 3.30pm. Robert Taylor, Director of English Language Services at the British Council said: “These courses have been specially written over a long period of time by specialists in the field of English as a Second Language.  With this initiative we aim to provide strong support to students across the entire curriculum, as increased proficiency and confidence in English will certainly help them in all subjects.  We are delighted to work with Park House School on this exciting project.” Timings and details can be found on the website of Park House English School.  Registration and entry testing for the courses takes place from September 22 to September 24 from 1.30 to 3.30 pm.The Peninsula
