DOHA: The New Port Project (NPP) would generate 20,000 job opportunities.
Training would be given to Qatari candidates ahead of their appointments, the NPP steering committee chairman Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Noaimi has said.
He was talking to the media ahead of a project review meeting held at the project site yesterday.
Al Noaimi said the project works were progressing as per the original schedule. “There was a minor delay from the part of company that is involved in one of the major works. But they have recovered the loss hours and the works are now fast progressing”.
Al Noaimi and the steering committee members later took out a tour of the project site.
