Amir’s visit draw attention of Turkish media

The visit of the Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the sisterly Republic of Turkiye drew attention of the Turkish media, which devoted large spaces to cover this important visit, during which the Amir and his brother, H E President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, chaired the 8th session meeting of the Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee.

The Turkish newspapers and TV stations highlighted the bilateral meeting between the Amir and the Turkish President, during which the prospects for developing strategic relations between the two brotherly countries were reviewed, in addition to discussing issues of common interest in the region and the world, it also paid attention to the agreements and memoranda of understanding that H H the Amir and H E President Erdogan witnessed the signing, to enhance cooperation between the two countries in many fields.

For its part, Anadolu Agency reviewed the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed by the two countries to strengthen their strategic relations in various fields, and in a well developed report of the Agency entitled “Turkiye, Qatar.. 31 Summits and 80 Agreements in 8 Years” the agency confirmed that the Qatari-Turkish committee held by the Amir and his brother President Erdogan in Istanbul yesterday, Friday, is the 31st summit between the two leaders, which is a record number in the history of relations between the two countries, and perhaps in the history of international diplomacy.

 The agency added that the relations between the two countries have witnessed a great leap in joint cooperation at various levels since the establishment of the Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee in 2014, where the committee has strengthened bilateral relations by signing more than 80 agreements within 8 years, to enrich the political, economic, cultural and scientific relations between the two countries.

The report noted the development of strategic relations between the two countries during the past two decades in the military, political, investment, economic and tourism fields, noting that Qatar and Turkiye have exceptional relations of friendship and brotherhood, as a result of the great rapprochement at the level of the leaderships of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples and the common denominators between them, as well as the unlimited solidarity in times of crisis, and the unique convergence of views on many regional and international issues, and the harmony of political visions regarding many files.

The two countries also share political orientations that adopt dialogue and diplomacy, and activate mediation efforts as a basis for security, stability and peace and the resolution of international and regional conflicts.

For its part, the newspaper, Daily Sabah, the largest and most widely circulated Turkish newspaper, considered that the visit of HH the Amir to the sisterly Republic of Turkiye constitutes a new and important stage in the relations between the two countries, expecting that the important visit will represent a new breakthrough in the existing strategic relations between Qatar and Turkiye.

 In his daily article in Daily Sabah newspaper, journalist Tash Demir stressed the importance of the agreements signed between the two countries in light of the delicate stage the region is going through.

He pointed out that the meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the two countries and the agreements that were signed will contribute to advancing relations to broader horizons, and raising the level of trade exchange between the two countries to the highest level.

As for Hurriyet newspaper, it described the visit of HH the Amir to Turkiye as a new impetus for the strategic relations between the two brotherly countries, stressing that the visit will lead to further strengthening of the developing bilateral relations, in light of the keenness of the leaderships of the two countries to push cooperation projects to broader horizons..

For its part, Yenisafak newspaper highlighted the 8th meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee between the two countries, stressing that it will work to strengthen Qatari-Turkish relations in general and raise their status.

In turn, the government channel TRT dealt in detail with the agreements signed between Qatar and Turkiye, and stressed in its coverage the great importance of the existing strategic relations between the two countries.

Ulke TV news channel broadcasted a detailed report on the visit of HH the Amir to the Republic of Turkiye, stressing that this important visit would lead to further strengthening and consolidation of relations and unifying the efforts of the two countries, as well as deepening the eternal bonds between the peoples of the two countries.

As for Turkiye newspaper, it considered that the visit of HH the Amir to Turkiye comes at an important time, and it is of utmost importance in this delicate circumstance that the region is going through.

Khabar 7 website devoted a wide space to cover the visit, the meeting of the Supreme Strategic Committee and the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed by the two countries, noting that Qatar and Turkiye have strong relations whose effects are reflected on many issues in the region and the world.
