Doha: The Music and Dance Department at Birla Public School (PBS) recently conducted a music workshop on the topic ‘Performance Preparation’.
The workshop commenced with the welcome speech by Marshal D’ Silva, HoD Music and Dance Department. Principal, A P Sharma in his address congratulated the Music and Dance Department for conducting the workshop and expressed his views regarding the benefit and explained the importance of music in our day to day life.
Rajesh Pillai, Vice Principal in his speech explained the different co-scholastic activities happening in the school and urged students to take maximum benefit out of these kind of events by participating regularly and in large numbers.
The ‘Performance Preparation’ workshop was presented by music teacher Ringkhuanlung Mpamei.
The workshop not only aimed to overcome the stage fear but also focussed on better preparation and being presentable to the audience.
Mpamei stressed on elimination of nervousness and anxiety on stage and gave focus on how to build a connection between the performer and the audience which could create more impact on the audience.
Q & A session in the end helped the students to get more clarity on the topics and how to implement them in the real life situations.
“We strongly believe that this workshop would benefit the students to be a better performer and exhibit their talents without stress,” said Principal, AP Sharma.
