The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) has honoured the top five winners of its photography contest, held on the sidelines of Katara's 6th Traditional Dhow Festival that was recently organised on November 15 to 19.
General Manager of Katara, Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, and Head of Photography Contest jury and Head of Photographic Society, Ahmed Bin Yosuf Al Khaleefi were present at the prize distribution ceremony yesterday.
The five top prizes of Katara's Photography Contest were respectively won by Saeed Mohammed Fairuz, Omar Al Surori, Abdel Aziz Esa, Esa Mohammed Abdullah and Bahir Ameen.
Speaking on the occasion, Katara General Manager said, "Our sponsorship of the Photography and the Fine Art Contest, reflect Katara's leading role and commitment to the revival of visual arts, and support of promising talent, through providing artists with all assistance and care needed, so they can succeed while continuing with their creative projects".
