Doha: Abdullah Abdulghani & Bros Co WLL (AAB), the exclusive dealer of Toyota and Lexus in Qatar, presented hybrid technology before the Qatar Scientific Club (QSC) members through the Prius Educational Session in line with its technical partnership with the organisation.
This is part of AAB’s CSR initiatives to support the development of the youth through education, to encourage road safety and promote environmental care
awareness. To date, AAB provides an ongoing technical awareness automotive training on various modules exclusively designed and created according to the learning requirements and interest of QSC’s members. Such workshops are held at AAB Workshop premises or at the Club.
The hybrid technology was shared by AAB’s Product/Marketing Team through video presentations and an interactive learning session participated in by the audience. The participants learned about the mechanics of Prius, a Toyota hybrid vehicle, which uses both the gas/petrol engine and electric motor depending on the driving conditions, achieving efficient driving. The electric motor reduces load on the engine during driving, thus contributing to low emissions and reducing harmful substances in exhaust gas as well as lower fuel consumption – making it an environment friendly car.
Club members as well as motor enthusiasts joined the educational session and had the opportunity of having the Prius experience through test drive, as well.
