Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior and Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), in collaboration with Visit Qatar and Media City Qatar, organised the National Sport Day activities at Stadium 974.
Patronised and attended by Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) H E Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the events witnessed the attendance of numerous officials, leaders, directors of departments, and officers alongside department staffers and a large crowd of spectators.
Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) H E Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani has emphasized the vital role of sports in daily life on the occasion of the National Sport Day.
In a post on the X platform, H E Sheikh Khalifa stated, “On the National Sport Day, we affirm the importance of sports as an essential part of our daily lives, within a vision led by His Highness the Glorious Prince to build a healthy and active society. We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable sports day.”
The events showcased wide-ranging sporting activities, including running races for 1K and 4K, physical and skill-based contests, tactical and military endurance skills, civil defense shows and events, as well as sports activities organised by the General Directorate of Coasts and Border Security with the participation of staffers from the Police Academy and Establishments and Authorities Security Department.
