Emir to honour winners of Anti-Corruption Awards in Vienna

Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will honour the winners of the Anti-Corruption Awards at its first round in the Austrian capital Vienna on Friday at a ceremony which will be held under United Nations auspices, and in the presence of its Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and heads of UN organisations in Vienna.
The Award comes in recognition of Emir's efforts of those in charge of the fight against corruption at the international level, as well as the support of the State of Qatar and the United Nations mission in the fight against corruption and the fight against organised crime. The award was announced for the first time on October 31, 2015, and is offered in collaboration with the United Nations, and includes four categories: scientific research, innovation, and creativity of young people, and Lifetime Achievement.
