DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) organised a workshop on “Creativity and Excellence for Employees’ Happiness”.
The happiness workshop took place from October 2 to 6 with the aim of creating a work environment that encourages employees to be creative and apply innovation in their work. The ministry also seeks to build an interactive relationship with employees encouraging them to achieve effective performance and an imperative role in achieving the ministry’s strategic mission and vision, and enhance their innovative capabilities. The workshop highlighted the concept of functional happiness and its importance in enhancing employees’ performance. Furthermore, the workshop provided detailed descriptions of the most common and important motivational theories and ways of implementing them.
