Cairo: Minister of Justice H E Masoud bin Mohammed Al Amri participated yesterday in the “First regional conference on modern judicial directions in the field of intellectual property rights protection in the traditional and digital environments,” which is organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Justice in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
The conference discusses important legal issues regarding the protection of intellectual property rights, the role of the judiciary in light of the rapid changes in the field of intellectual property, emerging issues in the fields of copyright, trademarks, and patents, enforcement of intellectual property in the traditional and digital environments, new means to end intellectual property disputes, the role of compensation in intellectual property issues, and regional cooperation in the field of intellectual property.
