The Ministry of Culture and Sports pavilion at the Book Fair yesterday witnessed the book signing by Saudi girl Sharifa Al Higbani.
Her book — “All through the pain, hope remains” — talks about her experience with cancer, and how the disease marked a beginning for a new life full of hope.
The book signing session was attended by Dr Sheikh Khalid bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Cancer Society, who said the society decided to appoint the girl as ambassador to fighting cancer in Qatar and GCC.
He added that she deserves encouragement and honour for her patience all through the pain.
