Doha: Tickets for the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2016 can now be purchased in the malls starting from today, Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF) announced.
The January 4th to 9th event brings the game’s greatest names to the city – world No. 1 Novak Djokovic, World No. 5 Rafael Nadal, World No. 6 Tomas Berdych and defending champion David Ferrer, are just some of the players starting their year in Doha.
Djokovic is returning to Doha after a 2015 season that saw him win 11 titles in many events including US Open, Australian Open and Wimbledon. This is Djokovic’s second appearance in the Qatari capital.
Another player returning to Doha trying to clinch his second title here is World No. 9, Richard Gasquet of France. Online ticket sales have been overwhelming and now fans can get their tickets in person at the following locations: Villaggio, City Center, Landmark, Lagoona, and the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex.
Tickets kiosks will be open daily from 10:00am to 9:00pm.
Tournament director, Karim Alami, said: “We are thrilled with the response to initial sales online and are looking forward to the start of sales at the malls and at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex – the support the fans give the players and the event each year truly shows how important the Qatar ExxonMobil Open has been for the past 24 years and it only continues to grow.” Center Court tickets grant access to the Center Court, the Outside Match Courts and the Complex. Ground passes provide access to the Outside Match Courts and the Complex only.
Lower Sections and Middle B have reserved numbered seating.
Middle A and C and Upper A, B and C stands do not have numbered seating and seating allocation is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Tickets can still be purchased online by going to www.qatartennis.org or in person at the malls and Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex.
