DOHA: Coach Jorge Fossati yesterday named the Qatar squad ahead of two 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Korea and Syria.
Qatar face Korea on Thursday in an away game followed by their clash against Syria in Doha on October 11. Qatar squad will fly to Korea in a private jet, QFA official said yesterday.
Fossati will lead the squad during a training session today before the team flies out to Korea. It will be closed door training session.
Soon after the Korea clash, Qatar will head back to Doha for their match against Syria.
Fossati, the former Al Rayyan coach, replaced Daniel Carreno as coach a little over a week ago.
Qatar squad: Claude Amin, Ahmed Yasser, Louise Martin, Ali Afif, Mahdi Ali, Abdulziz Hatem, Boualem Khoukhy, Yousu Ahmed, Ahmed Abdul Maqsood, Saud Al Hajri, Rodrigo Tabata, Sebastian Soria, Saad Abdullah, Pedro Migue, Ibrahim Magid, Abdul Karim Hassan, Mohammed Kasola. Ali Asad, Hassan Al Haydos, Musab Al Khader, Maged Mohammed and Akram Afif.
