Medical Director of Rumailah Hospital and the Qatar Rehabilitation Institute, Dr. Hanadi Al Hamad was felicitated by Cultural Forum (CF), Qatar, a socio-cultural organization for expatriate Indians. Dr. Hanadi has recently won the Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Award for Elderly Healthcare and Health Promotion Research instituted by the World Health Organization.
This came in a recent meeting between Cultural Forum officials and Dr Hanadi in which she hailed the wide range of humanitarian and social work undertaken by Cultural Forum saying that they are exemplary.
Muhammed Kunji, Vice- President, explained various activities undertaken by Cultural Forum for the expatriate community to alleviate their sufferings during COVID-19 pandemic.
Hanadi explained the various health activities that are taking place under the Qatar Rehabilitation Center, including those for the various expatriate communities living in Qatar. She added that organizations such as Cultural Forum can make a significant contribution to bringing such activities to the masses.
A memento was handed over to Dr. Hanadi by CF officials in appreciation of her winning the award for her research on the health care and well-being of the elderly.
Cultural Forum Vice-President Muhammad Kunhi, former president Dr. Taj Aluva, State Committee Member Sadiq Chennadan, Community Service Convenors Najla Najeeb and Shaji Kottakal were also present at the meeting.
