DOHA: The shares of Qatar National Bank (QNB) surged to a 52-week high to QR161 in yesterday’s trading. The shares opened at QR157.50 and the rise in their value at the end of trading was 2.29 percent, or QR3.60.
The trading value of the country’s largest lender was more than QR106.88m across 370 deals, while the volumes traded totaled almost 667,000. Total turnover (trading value) on the Qatari bourse (Qatar Exchange) was over QR229.81m, while the trading volume was a little more than four million.
The bourse’s main index gained 55 points to 9,330.54, while the market capitalization inched up marginally to QR513.82bn ($141.15bn).
