Doha: Secretary-General of Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS), Ali bin Hassan Al Hammadi, met a high-profile Palestinian delegation, headed by H E Sheikh Hatem M Bakri, Palestine’s Minister of Wakf and Religious Affairs, to discuss potential humanitarian cooperation in the best interest of the people of Palestine, inspired by the strong bilateral relations between the Qatari and Palestinian people.
The Palestinian delegation comprised Munir Ghannam, Ambassador of Palestine to the State of Qatar, Husam Abu Alrob, Deputy of the Ministry of Wakf and Religious Affairs, Dr. Yehia El Agha, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Palestine in Qatar, and Ismail Abu Al Halaweh, General Manager of Zakat Fund.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Salah Ibrahim, Director of Relief and International Development Division, Yousef M Al Awadi, Director of Resource Mobilization Department, Hamid Moharar, Head of Senior Donor Relations, Said Tijani, Head of Asia and Middle East Unit, and Sameer Ghaban, Humanitarian Studies Expert.
The meeting emphasised the strong relations between QRCS and Palestinian organizations, as well as the importance of bilateral concurrence to serve those in need in Al Quds, the West Bank, and Gaza, especially amid the growing need to support hospitals and health centers.
