Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani received on Wednesday the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran HE Ali Larijani, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, they reviewed ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region and the outcomes of the Muscat negotiations between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed, during the meeting, the State of Qatar’s support for all efforts aimed at reducing tensions and pursuing peaceful solutions in a manner that enhances security and stability in the region.
His Excellency also stressed the need to intensify efforts to spare the peoples of the region the repercussions of escalation and to continue coordination with sisterly and friendly countries to overcome differences through diplomatic means.
