The failure of the blockading countries in getting desired results from the siege of Qatar is sheer shame for the architects of this conspiracy. They have failed miserably and Qatar has succeeded in defeating all tactics employed by the blockading countries in the last one year.
They have failed in isolating Qatar through levelling baseless allegations, they failed in harming Qatar’s economy, they failed in damaging unity of Qatari nation, they failed in stopping Qatar from marching towards glory.
After around one year, Qatar is more stronger than a year ago, having more ambitions and more achievements.
Through a number of tweets, the Government Communications Office recently shed light on the same failure of siege and failure of the blockading countries in achieving their dirty targets.
Without any doubt we can say that Qatar is moving forward under the wise leadership of Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and has set new targets to achieve with reinvented strategies under new geo-political scenario. Qatar is fast moving towards self-sufficiency and has achieved a lot in the field of diversification of its economy.
The Government Communications Office has highlighted some facts and developments occurred during last one year to indicate Qatar’s strength today. It says that the blockading countries wanted to move Al Udeid military base from Doha but in January 2018, Qatar and the US announced plans to make it permanent.
Today, Qatar hosts America’s most important military facility in the Middle East, Al Udaid Air Base that hosts 11,000 service men and women and it is a launch pad for attacks against Daesh. The base will expand in the coming years to increase efficiency and readiness.
Qatar’s actions against terrorism speak much louder than fabricated accusations of the siege countries therefore the whole world stands with Qatar and has rejected baseless allegations levelled against the country by the blockading countries.
The Government Communications Office has also pointed out that despite the illegal blockade, Qatar has strengthened its security partnerships with international allies.
“Despite the illegal blockade, Qatar continues to strengthen security partnerships with international allies. In July 2017, Qatar signed an MoU with the US to combat terrorism financing. In December 2017, Qatar signed a declaration of intent and a common roadmap with France to combat terrorism financing.
In January 2018, Qatar signed a security agreement with Nato to consolidate its commitment to global peace and security,” one of the tweets of the Government Communications Office said.
The Government Communications Office has also pointed out some illegal moves employed by the blockading countries against Qatar in last one year like the blockading countries hacked QNA website and posted fake news; stopped the flow of business and people between GCC countries; violated international law; attempted to manipulate Qatar’s economy; criminalized expressing sympathy with Qatar; incited regime change; but they have not succeeded in their attempts to weaken Qatar.
After one year Qatar stands more stronger, more determined and moving forward on a faster pace.
